This Ferrari was delivered to Ernst Lautenschläger via Auto Becker Düsseldorf in April 1964. The body was painted silver and had a beige leather interior. Compared to the other Californias, this model has some special features. The body is made of aluminium and instead of the standard fuel tank, a racing tank with a larger capacity was installed. This can be easily recognised by the fuel filler cap, which was integrated into the boot lid. Apart from this, Ernst Lautenschläger had his Ferrari fitted with a 280 hp sports engine.

Ernst Lautenschläger was very successful in several races and took first place several times with the Ferrari.
