modelcars24 authenic CMC Alfa Romeo P3 Caracciola, winner GP Monza 1932, #6 one of six
Rudolf Caracciola won the Monza GP in 1932. A masterly achievement! Based on the CMC Alfa P3, we produce 6 models in authentic style as they might have looked after the race. The models are supplied with a plaque, certificate and display case.
Monza was already largely a street circuit back then. Nevertheless, the cars did get quite a bit of dust. But not as much as at the Klausen race, for example, which was run on a gravel track. Our Alfa therefore only had a little road grime on its bodywork. In the hustle and bustle of the race, a little petrol was spilled. Historical pictures show that the cars were usually refuelled from the right. Corresponding traces of petrol can be found on the rear of the Alfa.
When getting in and out of the car, Rudolf Caracciola inevitably came into contact with the bodywork with his racing suit. This is why the model is free of dirt in the entry area. Here the bodywork shines as it did before the race. The exhaust shows the hard wear and tear of the race, with soot in many places. The silencer was not quite so tightly connected to the pipes, so there is a little more dirt here. The mechanics got to the manifold a little during the pit stop and smudged the soot there. Winning a race back then was no walk in the park either, as the sweat marks on the leather of the Alfa seat show.
A great limited edition model, only six pieces, that tries to capture the racing atmosphere of 1932.
