Description
CMC Mercedes-Benz 300 SLR Mille Miglia 1955, #722.
In 1955, the Mille Miglia, the long-distance race run over a triangular course in Northern Italy, starting and finishing in Brescia, featured a particularly attractive line-up. It was the third round of the Sports Car World Championship, for which a total of six long-distance races this season counted. Mercedes-Benz was only entering this series with the Mille Miglia, but was confident of victory with its brand-new 300 SLR race touring car.
