The Ferrari F355 is a two-seater sports car with an 8-cylinder mid-engine at the rear, which was produced by the Italian car manufacturer Ferrari from 1994 to 1999.
The name 355 of this model refers to a displacement of 3.5 litres and five valves per cylinder. During the design phase, Ferrari began to transfer some of the findings from the world of Formula 1 to production cars: electronic fuel injection, flat floor, sequential gearbox and electronically controlled suspension, which can be set to two different settings from the cockpit: Normal and Sport. The latter stiffened the chassis in particular and accelerated gear changes in the versions with an electrically controlled sequential gearbox.
The F355 was also innovative thanks to a comprehensive aerodynamics study by Pininfarina, both in terms of the flow conditions in the fully panelled underbody of the vehicle and around the cockpit.
