The fourth edition of the legendary Carrera Panamericana in 1954 provided the stage for this special racing car, number 151. Driven by Guillermo Girón from Guatemala, the vehicle competed with the striking sponsorship of the well-known Mexican shoe brand „Calzado Canada“.

For the extreme desert stages and relentless road conditions, the original vehicle was extensively modified and consistently reduced in weight at the time. This miniature documents the technical adjustments with high precision. These include authentically recreated leather straps to secure the front bonnet, special stone chip protection grilles on the headlights, and the suggestion of a reinforced suspension geometry and an additional fuel reserve for the long distances.
