Description
BBR Pagani Utopia Roadster Open Roof – Benny White Gloss | 1:18
During Monterey Car Week in August 2024, the Italian manufacturer unveiled this first open-top variant of its third major vehicle project. The model continues the coupé version's legacy while also setting independent accents. In the original version, an integrated hardtop allows for a choice between a closed cockpit and an open driving experience.
Technologically, the vehicle relies on innovations, including through the use of the Pirelli Cyber Tyre system. This sensor technology allows the tyres to communicate directly with the vehicle's electronics, which increases driving dynamics and safety. The real-life model is produced in a strictly limited edition of just 130 units, with each vehicle being configured according to customer wishes through extensive customisation options.
The six-year development time is reflected in the design, which draws its inspiration from the classic era of Italian motorsport of the 1950s and 1960s. Compared to its predecessors, the Zonda and Huayra, the styling is more fluid and dispenses with complex, active aerodynamic elements. Instead, the airflow is fully integrated into the bodywork, reducing the number of external components by 20 percent and maximising aerodynamic efficiency.
