With the F355, the Italian manufacturer presented a two-seater sports car with a V8 mid-engine from 1994 to 1999. The model designation 355 is derived directly from the engine technology and refers to a 3.5-litre displacement and five valves per cylinder.

During the development of the vehicle, Ferrari deliberately transferred technological knowledge gained from Formula 1 into series production. This includes, among other things, electronic fuel injection, a flat underbody, a sequential gearbox and an electronically controlled suspension. The latter can be directly adjusted from the cockpit to the Normal and Sport driving modes. In Sport mode, the dampers are firmed up, while with this version featuring the sequential F1 gearbox, the shift times are also noticeably reduced.

Furthermore, the F355 boasts aerodynamics deeply developed by Pininfarina, which precisely channels airflow both over the fully enclosed underbody and around the passenger cell. Special features of this version: The model shows the open Spider with the F1 automatic gearbox, the characteristic challenge grille at the rear, as well as a black interior.
