The Ferrari F355 Spider is a two-seater, mid-engined V8 sports car that was produced from 1994 to 1999. The model designation 355 precisely refers to the 3.5-litre displacement and the advanced five-valve-per-cylinder technology.

In developing this vehicle, Ferrari deliberately transferred Formula 1 technologies into series production. Key innovations included electronic fuel injection, a flat underbody, and an electronically controlled suspension that could be adjusted from the cockpit in various modes. Normal and Sport can be adapted. The aerodynamic concept was optimised in close collaboration with Pininfarina, focusing on the efficient management of airflow under the completely enclosed underbody and around the passenger cell.
