Description

Amalgam Porsche 917K 1970 Daytona Winner Gulf Livery – Light Blue / Orange | 1:8

The Porsche 917K is one of the most defining racing cars in motorsport history and established unprecedented dominance in the World Sportscar Championship in the 1970s. At the 1970 24 Hours of Daytona, the vehicle celebrated a dominant debut under the management of the John Wyer team in the striking Gulf design, securing overall victory with a record lead.

This exclusive 1:8 scale model precisely replicates the winning car with race number 2 driven by Pedro Rodríguez, Leo Kinnunen and Brian Redman. Created in close collaboration with Porsche, digital scans, archival images and original material specifications were used to ensure uncompromising scale accuracy. The bodywork and engineering are produced through hundreds of hours of demanding craftsmanship. As all relevant body parts can be opened and removed, a detailed view of the internal architecture is revealed. Thus, the legendary flat-12 engine, the complex suspension components and the functionally designed cockpit can be studied down to a fraction of a millimetre. A flawlessly applied paint finish in the historic colours as well as the finest finishing work underline the high standard of craftsmanship. Worldwide, this highly precise collector's item is strictly limited to exactly 199 examples.
