Winner of the 1910 Prince Henry Trial, this fabulous automobile is considered one of the world's first true sports cars.

Ferdinand Porsche not only designed this Austro Daimler, which was clearly conceived for racing, but also led the works team himself. The team secured the first three places in the demanding 1944-kilometre Prince Heinrich Tour in Germany and won half of the 16 special prizes. With dual ignition for reliability, the engine's litres-per-performance was on par with the best of its time. This is one of ten works cars built and was later fitted with a propeller shaft instead of a chain drive.

With this and his other projects at Austro Daimler, Ferdinand Porsche had the full support of General Manager Eduard Fischer, who also participated in races himself.
