Description

Amalgam Aston Martin DB4 GT Zagato 1961 Goodwood TT Salvadori – Green | 1:8

The Aston Martin DB4 GT Zagato combines British engineering with coachwork design by Zagato and is considered one of the most valuable sports cars in automotive history. This model accurately depicts the iconic „1 VEV“ chassis exactly as it was successfully driven by Roy Salvadori at the 1961 RAC Goodwood Tourist Trophy.

Crafted in an impressive 1:8 scale, the miniature measures over 53 centimetres in length and is limited to just 199 pieces worldwide. The absolute focus of this replica is on technical authenticity and the highest level of model-making artistry. Over 5,000 hours went into the development of the prototype, whilst the construction of each individual model requires more than 500 hours of precise handwork. A team of specialised model makers assembles thousands of precisely manufactured individual parts, including fine castings, photo-etched parts and CNC-machined metal components.

To faithfully reproduce the shape and every single minute detail of the original, the restored car was digitally scanned in high resolution. In close collaboration with Aston Martin, original material specifications and historical archive images from 1961 were also used to ensure flawless authenticity. The result is a physical document of engineering art that uncompromisingly captures the mechanical sophistication and material quality of the historical original in model format.
