Amalgam Bugatti Type 59 1934 Monaco Grand Prix Nuvolari – Red | 1:18
The Bugatti Type 59 is considered the brand's last successful Grand Prix car and was a technical masterpiece by Ettore and Jean Bugatti. This specific model accurately replicates the racing car with which Tazio Nuvolari competed in the Monaco Grand Prix on 2 April 1934 and finished fifth.
The development of this precise 1:18 scale model took over 800 hours. The basis for this was formed by extremely accurate digital scans of the original chassis 59122 from Ralph Lauren's collection. A small team of highly specialised craftsmen produces each example entirely by hand using the finest materials. Precisely engineered castings, fine photo-etchings and CNC-machined metal components are used in the process.
Thanks to close cooperation with Bugatti, which provided original archive images and exact colour codes, the miniature boasts absolute historical authenticity. Rigorous inspection by the manufacturer's design and engineering teams guarantees the exact reproduction of every detail, such as the delicate spoked wheels. Note: This model is built as a so-called curbside version and impresses with its closed, flawless design with no moving parts.
