Description

Amalgam Ferrari 250 GTO 3705GT 1962 Le Mans Class Winner Race Weathered – Rot | 1:18

The historic racing car celebrated a commanding class victory at the 1962 24 Hours of Le Mans with drivers Pierre Noblet and Jean Guichet. The vehicle with chassis number 3705GT secured valuable points for Scuderia Ferrari and entered motorsport history as a design and engineering icon.

Limited to precisely 250 examples, this 1:18 scale collector's piece reproduces the historic car in a highly detailed „Race Weathered“ edition. Developed in close collaboration with Ferrari Classiche and based on precise digital scans of an original vehicle, the base model took over 800 hours of development to engineer. The fine dirt and traces of hard racing use are meticulously applied by artisans in Bristol using historical photographic material to authentically recreate the condition of the car during its final pit stop. Measuring over 24 centimetres in length, the model is hand-assembled from premium materials such as precisely manufactured castings, photo-etched components and CNC-machined metal elements.

Note: This officially licensed Le Mans product is designed as a so-called „kerbside“ version and features a closed body with no moving parts. The hand-applied patina effects are extremely delicate; it is recommended not to clean the model and to keep handling to a minimum. Included with every order is a high-quality Giclée print of the original pit stop from the Motorsport Images archive.
