The 250 Testa Rossa is today one of the most sought-after Ferraris in the world. The TR was developed with existing Ferrari customers in mind, many of whom were currently racing the 500 TRC model. The 500 TRC was known for its superior handling, and the 250TR built upon this quality by using a similar chassis as a platform into which a much stronger V12 engine with six twin-choke carburettors could be fitted. The 250 Testa Rossa won the Manufacturers' World Championship for Ferrari in 1958.

To set the scene, the legendary 24 Hours of Le Mans race that year drew a massive crowd of approximately 150,000 spectators, who gathered in anticipation of a thrilling and closely contested duel between Ferrari, Jaguar, Aston Martin, and Porsche. Scuderia Ferrari, which entered 11 cars into the race, comprising both works drivers and privateer teams, ultimately won the race with this car.

This beautiful 1:18 scale model of the Ferrari 250 Testa Rossa has been handcrafted and finished in our workshops in collaboration with, and with the support of, the historians of the Automotive Club de L’Ouest and Ferrari Classiche, referencing their original paint schemes, materials, archival imagery and drawings. By utilising highly accurate digital scans of the original car, we have been able to perfectly replicate every detail to scale. Furthermore, it has undergone detailed scrutiny by the engineering and design teams, ensuring complete accuracy in its representation.

Every 1:18 scale Amalgam model is presented in a black luxury display box with a protective outer slipcase. Each model is mounted on a polished black acrylic base, which is protected by a clear acrylic dust cover. The base houses a booklet containing the certificate of authenticity, along with information and accompanying material about the car. The model title and original branding are displayed on a polished stainless steel plaque affixed to the front of the base.
