Description

Amalgam Ferrari 296 Challenge (2023) | 1:8

The Ferrari 296 Challenge, unveiled in Mugello in October 2023, is the ninth model in the Ferrari Challenge Trofeo Pirelli series and the first vehicle in this one-make championship to feature a twin-turbo V6 engine. To reduce weight and increase output to 700 hp, the hybrid system was systematically omitted during development. The heavily modified aerodynamics generate a massive 870 kg of downforce at 250 km/h, making the racing car a high-precision tool on the track.

This exclusive 1:8 scale model was developed in close collaboration with Ferrari to reproduce every detail of the original car with millimetric precision. The design is based on the original CAD data, paint codes and material specifications from Maranello. The development of the prototype took over 3,000 hours and was checked by Ferrari engineers and designers for absolute visual and technical precision.

Each of the models, limited to just 199 examples, is assembled by hand by a small team of specialist craftsmen in over 300 hours of work. The finished vehicle consists of thousands of precisely manufactured individual parts, including high-quality cast components, photo-etched metal sheets and CNC-machined metal elements. With a length of over 57 centimetres, this collector's item demonstrates the highest level of model-making artistry. Alongside the limited edition, Amalgam offers a bespoke service upon request to individually tailor the model to the exact paintwork and configuration of a real vehicle used by drivers, teams or sponsors.
