This exclusive 1:8 scale model documents Gilles Villeneuve's victory in the Ferrari 312 T4 at the rain-soaked 1979 US Grand Prix East in Watkins Glen. It is a precise historical reconstruction of the car that secured the Constructors' World Championship for Scuderia Ferrari that season.

The absolute focal point of this edition, strictly limited to just 12 copies worldwide, lies in the elaborate Weathered-Design. Specialists in Bristol apply the specific traces of dirt and weathering entirely by hand, exactly according to historical archival images, in order to accurately portray the condition of the car at the finish line. After over 4,500 hours of development time, a small team of model makers invests around 450 hours in the assembly and detailed finishing of each individual example. The model is assembled from thousands of components, including elaborate cast components, fine photo-etched parts and CNC-machined metal elements. Thanks to close cooperation with Ferrari and the use of high-precision digital scans of the original vehicle, an exact scale and level of detail is achieved, which has also been verified by engineering and design teams.

In addition to the model, this set includes four high-quality A2 prints featuring photographs by Formula 1 photographer Richard Kelley, curated by Melanie Villeneuve. A certificate hand-signed by her verifies this special piece of motor sport history. As the manually applied race patina is extremely delicate, handling of the model requires the utmost care and strict adherence to the enclosed instructions.
