Amalgam Ferrari F1-89 1989 British Grand Prix – Rot | 1:18

Designed by John Barnard, the Ferrari F1-89 revolutionised Formula 1 with its innovative semi-automatic gearbox and outstanding aerodynamics. At the 1989 British Grand Prix at Silverstone, Nigel Mansell and Gerhard Berger piloted this iconic racing car, with Mansell claiming a strong second place.

In over 800 hours of intensive development work, an exact 1:18 scale replica of this historic vehicle was created. Based on original CAD data and the strict colour codes of Scuderia Ferrari, a small team of specialists handcrafts each individual example. Measuring a good 24 centimetres in length, the model is made from the highest quality materials, including true-to-life castings, delicate photo-etchings and CNC-machined metal components. The master models were created using 3D printing and meticulously refined by hand before final prototype approval was granted by the designers, engineers and historians of the Gestione Sportiva. Designed as a classic curbside model, this variant deliberately dispenses with moving parts, focusing visual attention entirely on the aerodynamic purity and perfect paintwork of the closed bodywork.
