- Manufactured to original Scuderia Ferrari CAD drawings and paint codes, the Scuderia Ferrari HP SF-26, unveiled at the Circuit de Fiorano on January 23, 2026, is the team's challenger for the 2026 FIA Formula 1 World Championship. It is the 72nd Formula 1 car built in Maranello and has been conceived from the ground up to meet Formula 1's fundamentally revised technical and sporting regulations – the most significant transformation in over a decade. At the heart of this new era are lighter and more agile cars, a fundamental shift in aerodynamics and a completely new generation of hybrid power units.
A new era
The SF-26 has been specifically developed for the new regulations, necessitating a fundamental revision of the vehicle architecture. The chassis forgoes ground-effect aerodynamics, instead adopting a different approach with cleaner lines and an overall philosophy aimed at weight reduction and increased efficiency – entirely in line with Formula 1's regulatory requirements. The powertrain also represents a significant advancement: a new hybrid generation replaces the MGU-H and increases the MGU-K's output to 350 kW, further enhancing the contribution of the electric system. This required a completely new design approach and close integration of the chassis and powertrain.Design, colour and identity
The SF 26 reflects the new aerodynamic and technical direction, characterised by cleaner surfaces and refined proportions that express lightness, agility, and functional clarity. From the outset, Ferrari designers focused on a robust and adaptable concept to ensure high development potential, while the team gathers real-world data throughout the season. The paintwork connects Ferrari's tradition with its future, acting as a visual bridge into a new chapter of the team's history. One of the most notable stylistic decisions is the return to a high-gloss finish after seven years of matte paint. The Rosso Scuderia 2026 is brighter and bolder, inspired by the special 2025 Monza livery and simultaneously a tribute to the iconic shade from the turn of the millennium – an expression of Ferrari's core values: passion, bravery, and identity.
The red is complemented by a reinterpreted use of white, which historically was used sparingly but with strong symbolic impact. Now placed around the cockpit and on the engine cover, it creates a clean, striking contrast that highlights the unmistakable silhouette of the SF-26. Together, red and white create a visual dialogue between Ferrari's tradition and its forward-looking ambitions – a balance between heritage and innovation, with which Scuderia Ferrari HP embraces the challenges of the new technical era of Formula 1.
