Description

Amalgam Ford GT40 1969 Le Mans Winner | 1:8

The Ford GT40 is regarded as one of the greatest motorsport legends and secured overall victory at the 1969 24 Hours of Le Mans with Jacky Ickx and Jackie Oliver at the wheel. The historic chassis with the number 1075 triumphed in a thrilling finish that went down in history.

This exclusive collector's item in an imposing 1:8 scale pays tribute to the racing car with the utmost precision and technical authenticity. In close collaboration with the Ford Archive and Heritage Department and Gulf Oil International, the project underwent a 24-month research and development phase spanning over 4,000 hours of work. The assembly of each individual model, worldwide limited to 199 pieces, requires more than 400 hours of pure handcraftsmanship by a small team of specialists.

The over 50-centimetre-long replica consists of thousands of precisely manufactured individual parts. High-quality cast components, delicate photo-etched parts and CNC-machined metal elements combine to create a highly detailed overall appearance. Every mechanical and optical facet of the vehicle has been accurately reconstructed using original data and historical photographs to create an absolutely flawless replica of the Le Mans icon.
