Amalgam Jaguar D-type 1956 Reims Winner – Green | 1:18

This historic racing car was specially developed in the 1950s for endurance motor racing with an advanced aluminium alloy monocoque construction. The present model exact replicates chassis XKD 605, with which drivers Duncan Hamilton and Ivor Bueb took victory at the 12 Hours of Reims on 30 June 1956.

The manufacture of this detailed 1:18 scale miniature requires the utmost craftsmanship, with the development of the prototype alone taking over 800 hours. A small team of specialists assembles each model by hand in a painstaking process. High-precision digital scans of an original vehicle (chassis XKD 505/601) served as the basis for the exact shaping. In addition, official archive images, paint codes and material specifications were provided directly by Jaguar Heritage to ensure complete authenticity.

The bodywork is authentically painted and features precisely manufactured castings, photo-etched elements and CNC-machined metal components. Designed as a closed model, this version dispenses with moving parts, focusing instead entirely on flawless exterior styling and attention to detail. Every element has been checked for historical and technical accuracy by Jaguar's design and engineering teams.
