Description

Amalgam Jaguar D-type Ecurie Ecosse 1957 Le Mans Winner – Dark Blue | 1:8

This aerodynamically pioneering racing car dominated the 24 Hours of Le Mans, securing a convincing hat-trick for the Ecurie Ecosse team in 1957. Driven by the British duo Ron Flockhart and Ivor Bueb, the vehicle with its aviation-inspired monocoque construction inevitably secured its place in motor racing history.

This exact replica in an impressive 1:8 scale impresses with uncompromising craftsmanship and technical precision. Based on high-precision CAD data obtained through a digital scan of the original winning car (chassis XKD 501), a museum-quality display piece measuring over 55 centimetres in length was created. Thousands of precisely manufactured components – including fine cast components, delicate photo-etched parts and CNC-machined metal elements – come together to form an immaculate whole. The doors, boot and bonnet can be opened, providing an unobstructed view of the highly detailed engine and the complex historical mechanics.

The paintwork in the iconic Ecurie Ecosse Metallic „Flag Blue“ was realised in close cooperation with Jaguar Heritage, who provided access to image archives, original paint codes and authentic material specifications. After over 4,000 hours of intensive development work, the artisanal assembly of each and every one of the limited to only 99 pieces worldwide Models take more than 400 hours. The result is an officially licensed Le Mans product that makes historical authenticity tangible.
