Amalgam Lotus 49B 1968 Monaco Grand Prix Winner Graham Hill – Red | 1:8
Designed by Colin Chapman and Maurice Philippe, the Lotus 49 was among the first Formula One racing cars to use the engine as a semi-stressed chassis element. At the 1968 Monaco Grand Prix, Graham Hill drove this further developed B-specification car across the finish line as the winner after an eventful race, thereby laying the foundations for his second world championship title.
This 1:8 scale model is a precise replica of the historic winning car. It has been painstakingly handcrafted in close collaboration with Classic Team Lotus using digital scans, historical engineering drawings and authentic archival imagery. The engineering and design teams at Lotus subjected the miniature to rigorous scrutiny to ensure absolute authenticity in all materials, finishes and mechanical details.
