Designed by Gérard Ducarouge, the Lotus 97T competed in the 1985 Formula One season and was characterised by its outstanding chassis. At the rainy 1985 Portuguese Grand Prix, Ayrton Senna dominated the field in this car, driving from pole position to his very first Grand Prix victory.

This exact 1:8 scale replica pays tribute to that historic moment in motor racing history. The model has been painstakingly handcrafted and finished in the workshops of Amalgam. Thanks to close cooperation with Lotus, original paintwork, materials, archive images and design drawings were able to be utilised. A highly precise digital scan of the original vehicle made it possible to perfectly reproduce every technical and aerodynamic detail. To ensure the highest level of authenticity, the model was ultimately thoroughly inspected by the engineering and design teams at Lotus. This precise collector's item is limited to just 199 examples worldwide.
