Amalgam Maserati 250F 1957 German Grand Prix – Juan Manuel Fangio – Red | 1:8
This historic post-war front-engined racing car shaped the era of rapid technical progress in motorsport like hardly any other vehicle. The monoposto achieved its ultimate legendary status at the 1957 German Grand Prix at the Nürburgring when, following a dramatic pit stop, Juan Manuel Fangio made up a huge deficit and secured his fifth world championship title with a furious charge through the field.
This precise 1:8 scale replica faithfully reproduces the specifications of the winning car from 4 August 1957. Developed over a period of more than 4,500 hours, the model was created on the basis of high-precision digital scans of an original vehicle and in-depth archival research. The assembly of each individual example is carried out by hand by a small team of specialised modellers and takes more than 450 hours.
The collector's item, measuring over 50 centimetres in length, is made up of thousands of precisely manufactured components. Fine photo-etched parts, precisely CNC-machined metal components and detailed castings merge to create an exact miniature which, following strict quality control by Amalgam technicians regarding its historical and proportional authenticity, has been approved for release. The worldwide edition of this highly detailed model is strictly limited to 199 examples.
