On his return to Grand Prix racing in 1954, the Stuttgart-based constructor dominated the Formula One World Championship straight away, securing a historic one-two victory at the debut race in Reims. Driven by the legendary Juan Manuel Fangio, the aerodynamic streamlined bodywork with its innovative technology set completely new standards in motorsport.

This exclusive 1:8 scale model faithfully honours the winning car of the French Grand Prix of 4 July 1954. The design of the prototypes took over 4,500 development hours, whilst the artisanal assembly of each individual piece by a specialised team requires more than 400 hours. From thousands of precisely manufactured components – including fine castings, delicate photo-etched parts and CNC-machined metal components – a complex miniature is created that provides a detailed view of the internal mechanics and the engine.

To guarantee the highest level of authenticity, the model is based on original engineering drawings, historical archives and high-precision digital scans of the real vehicle. Both the engineering and design teams at Mercedes-Benz closely monitored the manufacturing process to ensure the absolutely correct representation of the silver paintwork, the material textures and all technical specifications. The edition is strictly limited to just 196 examples worldwide.
