The 911 RSR 2.8 dominated the 1973 GT racing season, securing a dominant victory at the 24 Hours of Daytona with drivers Hurley Haywood and Peter Gregg. The Brumos team car bearing race number 59 even shook off a collision with a bird, which necessitated an improvised windscreen replacement in the pit lane.

This exclusive 1:18 scale collector's item accurately depicts the winning car with chassis number 911.360.0328 and is limited worldwide to only 100 copies Limited. Developed over more than 800 hours, this high-precision replica was created based on original CAD data, digital scans of the real vehicle and historical specifications from the Porsche Museum. A small team of specialist model makers in Bristol has hand-assembled each individual example using the finest materials. The cast components, delicate photo-etched parts and CNC-machined metal elements reflect the highest level of manufacturing precision.

The standout feature of this edition is the authentic Weathered Patina. The artists at Amalgam have applied the traces of the 24-hour race in detail by hand – from the race-typical grime on the bodywork to the visible effects of the bird strike. To ensure uncompromising historical accuracy, the prototype of this model was rigorously inspected by Porsche Classic prior to production. It is a classic kerbside model with a fully enclosed body, perfectly leaving the lines of the RSR undisturbed.

The over 22 centimetre long model is supplied together with a high-quality giclée archival print showing the original vehicle during the historic window replacement. Since the elaborately applied weathering effects are entirely handmade and extremely delicate, the model should be handled with special care and must under no circumstances be cleaned.
