Amalgam Porsche 917 KH 1971 Le Mans Winner Martini Livery Race Weathered | 1:8
The Porsche 917 KH is a motorsport icon and secured the Stuttgart brand its historic overall victory at the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 1971. Driven by Gijs van Lennep and Helmut Marko, this racing car dominated the field, setting a distance record that remained unbeaten for almost four decades.
This exclusive 1:8 scale replica is strictly limited to just 22 worldwide. Over 4,000 hours of development have gone into creating a highly precise representation, based on digital scans of an original 917 and Porsche's factory paint codes. Experienced artisans invest over 450 working hours in the construction and elaborate patination of each individual model. The authentic race wear of the WeatheredThe editions are painstakingly applied by hand using historical archive footage to document the car's exact condition at the finish line in Le Mans.
The model is comprised of thousands of individual parts, manufactured with millimetre precision, including fine cast components, photo-etched parts and CNC-milled metal elements. The opening doors and removable body panels reveal the highly detailed cockpit and the 12-cylinder boxer engine. Each example of this special edition is also supplied with a high-quality giclée print of the vehicle during a race, sourced from the archive of renowned motorsport photographer Rainer Schlegelmilch.
Handling instructions: Please note that the hand-applied patination on this model is extremely delicate. It is recommended to minimise handling and avoid cleaning the surfaces in order to permanently preserve the authentic traces of the 24-hour race.
