The history of this remarkable vehicle with chassis number 3589 began in 1962. The first owner, Michael Parkes, competed with it in numerous races on the track that season. This exact miniature depicts the car with racing number 5, which secured third place at the Tourist Trophy on the Goodwood Circuit in Great Britain. This race is also historically interesting because the podium at the time was exclusively occupied by three British drivers in vehicles from three different British racing stables.

After a successful season, the original changed hands to Tom O’Connor in the United States at the end of 1962. Following further racing appearances and regular podium finishes, he donated the sports car to Victoria High School in Texas in 1964. The present replica is entirely manufactured in Italy by BBR and represents the highest level of craftsmanship and historical authenticity.
