Description

BBR Ferrari 250 GTO 1964 – Red | 1:18

This vehicle represents a formative period of early 1960s motorsport. Conceived for both road use and professional competition, the nomenclature stands for Gran Turismo Homologated. The model designation is derived directly from the technical specifications and indicates the exact displacement of a single cylinder of the 3.0-litre V12 engine.

During the intense rivalries in the International Championship for GT Manufacturers – particularly in the direct competition with Cobra – continuous technical development was essential. For the 1964 racing season, the Scuderia therefore presented an evolution, documented as Series II or Version 64. This version is primarily characterised by a fundamentally modified body shape and targeted aerodynamic refinements. According to historical records, only three chassis were manufactured from the factory in this new specification, while four further vehicles from the first series were subsequently equipped with the revised bodywork.

The collector's model faithfully reproduces the specific aerodynamic lines and the complex construction history of this V12 vehicle in scale. It provides an factual and authentic look at a central chapter of GT racing history and impresses with a precise implementation of the original blueprints.
