The 1964 24 Hours of Le Mans marked the 32nd running of the French endurance classic and took place on 20 and 21 June at the Circuit de la Sarthe. The race was also the ninth round of the then-current World Sportscar Championship.

This year saw a historic motorsport rivalry reach a head: after Ford had unsuccessfully tried to take over Ferrari the previous year, the American manufacturer now challenged the legendary Commendatore on the race track – a contest that went down in motorsport history as the famous Ford-Ferrari feud.

This model offers a precise replica of the Ferrari 250 GTO (chassis number 5575 GT) with the racing number 24. The vehicle competed for the racing team Belgian National Team amongst the drivers Jean Blaton (known by the pseudonym „Beurlys“) and Lucien Bianchi. The driver duo secured a class victory in the 2501 to 3000 cm³ engine capacity vehicles, as well as a strong fifth place in the overall classification of the race.
