Description

BBR Ferrari 250 SWB 24H Le Mans 1960 No.19 Team NART Hugus – Pabst | 1:18

The 1960 24 Hours of Le Mans was the 28th Grand Prix d'Endurance and was held on 25 and 26 June on the Circuit de la Sarthe. Around 200,000 spectators gathered for this endurance race, drawn by the prospect of a strategic duel between Ferrari's 3-litre cars and Porsche's 2-litre models.

Ferrari turned up exceptionally well-prepared, sending a total of 13 vehicles, spread across works teams and private entries, into the race to secure the championship for themselves. The Ferrari 250 GT SWB (Short Wheel Base), which was presented at the Paris Motor Show in 1959, had a motorsport career that was as short as it was successful. The vehicle achieved remarkable successes, particularly at the 24 Hours of Le Mans races in 1960 and 1961.

This precisely crafted 1:18 scale model faithfully reproduces the car, number 19, of the North American Racing Team (NART), driven by Ed Hugus and Augie Pabst. The duo secured a respectable seventh overall place with this car in the historic edition of this endurance classic.
