The Ferrari 296 Speciale A, also known as the Aperta, is the spider version of the 296 GTB. It was launched in April 2025 - at the same time as the coupé - and features a retractable roof that does not change the shape of the vehicle when closed. This plug-in hybrid offers a significant reduction in weight and increased overall performance. The design is immediately recognisable from the GTB thanks to aerodynamic elements adopted from the 296 Challenge. These include, for example, the front aero damper, which directs the air from below to the bonnet and thus stabilises the front end. At the rear, the striking side wings catch the eye, reducing drag and increasing the vertical load by 20 % compared to the 296 GTB. The engine remains a biturbo V6 in combination with an MGU-K electric motor, but the total output increases to 880 hp - an increase of 50 hp compared to the 296 GTB.
