The Ferrari 296 Speciale A presents itself as an open-top Spider variant of the technological evolution of the 296 GTB. Unveiled in April 2025 concurrently with the coupé, the vehicle features a retractable hardtop that precisely maintains the sports car's striking silhouette even when open. Conceived as a plug-in hybrid, this version is characterised by consistent weight reduction and further enhanced system performance. The aerodynamic concept visibly and functionally differs significantly from the base model, integrating airflow elements from the 296 Challenge. A special Aero-Damper at the front directs airflow precisely over the vehicle to stabilise the front axle. At the rear, modified side wings are employed, reducing drag and increasing downforce by 20 percent compared to the 296 GTB. The V6 twin-turbo engine, combined with an electric MGU-K system, provides the drive. Through specific optimisations, the total output has been increased by 50 PS to 880 PS. This collector's model reproduces the intricate body design, aerodynamic attachments, and characteristic design features of the special edition with the highest precision on a reduced scale.
