The Ferrari 296 Speciale represents the further development of the 296 GTB. Launched in April 2025 - at the same time as the A version (Aperta) with retractable hardtop - this plug-in hybrid berlinetta offers a significant reduction in weight and an increase in overall performance. The design is immediately distinguishable from the GTB version thanks to the aerodynamic appendages adopted from the 296 Challenge, such as the front aero damper that channels air from the underbody to the bonnet to stabilise the front end. At the rear, the side wings reduce drag and increase downforce - an increase of 20 % over the 296 GTB. The engine is still a V6 biturbo with an MGU-K electric motor, but the total output increases to 880 hp, an increase of 50 hp compared to the 296 GTB.
