Description
BBR Ferrari 360 Modena Spider Automatic Gearbox – Le Mans Blue | 1:18
With the Ferrari 360 Modena Spider At the Geneva Motor Show in 2000, the Italian car manufacturer presented its twentieth convertible sports car. A particular engineering feat was the integration of a fully retractable, automatic soft-top, which found space despite the visibly installed V8 mid-engine in the rear.
The vehicle's aerodynamic efficiency is achieved through separate, double cooling air intakes. These direct the airflow specifically under the car's floor to the diffusers integrated in the rear section. For the protection of the occupants, two robust roll-over bars are provided, which structurally reinforce the headrests. Furthermore, a key technical innovation of this model was the use of aluminium as a load-bearing material for the entire chassis.
