Description
BBR Ferrari 360 Modena Spider Automatic Gearbox – Red | 1:18
With the 360 Modena Spider, Ferrari presented its twentieth open-top roadster at the Geneva Motor Show in 2000. Despite the visibly positioned V8 rear engine, the engineers succeeded in integrating a fully retractable automatic soft-top into the vehicle's structure.
The aerodynamic efficiency of the model has been optimised by using double, separated cooling air inlets. This specific design directs the airflow purposefully under the vehicle all the way to the diffusers integrated at the rear. For structural integrity and the protection of the occupants, two roll-over bars provide reinforcement for the headrests. One of the significant technical innovations of this vehicle is the consistent use of aluminium as the supporting material for the chassis.
