Description
BBR Ferrari 360 Modena Spider Manual – Red | 1:18
At the Geneva Motor Show in 2000, the twentieth road-legal convertible from the traditional Italian manufacturer was presented to the public. Despite the positioning of the exposed mid-mounted V8 engine, the engineers succeeded in integrating a fully retractable, automatic soft-top into the complex vehicle architecture.
The vehicle's aerodynamic efficiency is ensured by the distinctive, separated air intakes at the front. This design directs the airflow specifically under the vehicle and guides it to the rear diffusers. Two massive roll-over bars behind the headrests provide structural integrity and occupant safety. Furthermore, this series marks the innovative use of aluminium as the primary material for the chassis, which both reduces weight and increases torsional rigidity. The present collector's model accurately and to scale depicts the specific version with a classic manual transmission.
