Description
BBR Ferrari 4.9 Superfast S/N 0719 Paris Motor Show 1957 | 1:18
This exclusive collector's item honours the first representative of the historic Superfast lineage, which debuted at the Paris Motor Show in 1957 – exactly six decades before the unveiling of the modern 812 Superfast. The technical vision behind this vehicle arose from Enzo Ferrari's decision to integrate the voluminous 4.9-litre engine into the more compact chassis of the 3.0-litre models. To accommodate the dimensions of the larger engine, the track width on the front and rear axles was modified.
The design objective was precise synthesis: the direct and relatively light steering of the smaller chassis was to be combined with the uncompromising power delivery of the 4.9-litre V12 engine. This miniature represents a première and fills a historical gap in the field of 1:18 collector's models. Special attention deserves the exact reproduction of the Borrani spoke wheels, which are made of genuine turned aluminium and fine steel spokes. This model will be delivered as a strictly limited and individually numbered edition of only 500 examples worldwide.
