Description
BBR Ferrari 410 Superamerica Series III SN 1423 SA – Red | 1:18
First presented in 1955, this series was aimed at an exclusive clientele who demanded the highest driving performance combined with uncompromising luxury. The Series III, unveiled at the Paris Motor Show in October 1958, represented the final evolutionary stage of this vehicle. It marked the technical peak in the development of the Lampredi V12 engine with a long engine block for road use. Production was limited to a very short period until June 1959 before the concept was superseded by the subsequent 400 series.
The bodies of the twelve examples manufactured were all produced by Pinin Farina realised and delivered to a small circle of industrialists, celebrities, and important collectors.
The model depicted here precisely documents the chassis with the serial number 1423 SA. The original vehicle spent much of its history in England, initially owned by Morrison Dulles Jr. and later by his son, W. Dulles. Historical records also show that the original owner stated a residence on Broadway in New York at the time of purchase.
