The Ferrari 458 Speciale A, where the „A“ stands for Aperta, represents the final evolutionary stage of the 458 series with a naturally aspirated V8 engine. This specification makes it one of the most sought-after collector vehicles in recent automotive history. The variant was strictly limited and celebrated its premiere at the Paris Motor Show in 2014. With a production run of exactly 499 units, it is significantly rarer than the classic coupé version.

The bodywork design of the Speciale A was developed entirely in the wind tunnel and optimised for maximum aerodynamic efficiency. The vehicle features movable front flaps that direct airflow specifically to the radiators or reduce drag, as well as a motorised rear spoiler element for precise downforce balance at high speeds. Equipped with a retractable hardtop (RHT) made of lightweight aluminium, which reveals the interior in just 14 seconds, the open-top car incurs only a minimal additional weight of 50 kilograms compared to the coupé.
