BBR Ferrari 499P Car No. 51 – 24h Le Mans 2026 | 1:18
At the 2026 24 Hours of Le Mans, the AF Corse entered works Hypercar, car number 51, faced an extremely demanding test. The experienced driver trio, comprising Alessandro Pier Guidi, James Calado, and Antonio Giovinazzi, encountered unforeseen challenges in the early hours of the race. Contact with the Proton Competition car, number 9, resulted in a drive-through penalty that severely disrupted the team's rhythm.
Despite the incident, the prototype sustained no structural or mechanical damage and was able to reliably continue the night run. However, the combination of the penalty incurred and the resulting disadvantage in race pace prevented a direct fight for podium places. Nevertheless, the drivers showed maximum commitment, pushing the vehicle to a top speed of 351.8 km/h and utilising precise pit stop strategies to work their way back up the overall standings.
After completing 381 laps, the team crossed the finish line in a respectable fifth overall, just around two minutes and 22 seconds behind the victorious Toyota vehicle. This true-to-life model documents a demanding race from current endurance racing history and accurately reflects the aerodynamic finesse and the tireless fighting spirit of the factory team.
