At the season opener of the FIA WEC at the Lusail International Circuit in Qatar on 2 March 2025, the Ferrari 499P dominated the field, securing a historic one-two-three. The car with starting number 83, driven by Robert Kubica, Yifei Ye and Phil Hanson, crossed the finish line in a strong second place. As the only car of the Ferrari trio, this prototype competed in a striking yellow livery.

The 2025 version of the innovative hybrid racing car features significant aerodynamic and technical advancements compared to last year's model, precisely tuned for maximum efficiency. Among the most striking functional innovations is the side LED panel, mandated by the current WEC regulations, which displays the car's position during the race.
