Description
BBR Ferrari 550 Barchetta 2000 – Alloy Grey | 1:18
The Ferrari 550 Barchetta Pininfarina, presented in 2000, is a limited special edition reminiscent of the tradition of classic open-top sports cars from Maranello, while also paying tribute to the 70th anniversary of the collaboration between Ferrari and Pininfarina. The technical basis for this car is provided by the 550 Maranello, which was introduced in 1996.
Unlike historical Barchetta models, which often had heavily shortened or no windscreens at all, this model features a conventional, full-height windscreen and a manually operated emergency soft top. Two distinctive, permanently installed roll-over bars are integrated behind the headrests. The true-to-life model reproduces the bodywork in Alloy Grey and is equipped with an authentic interior in the historical Carta Da Zucchero colour. The illustrious clientele of the real vehicle included, among others, well-known motorsport personalities such as Michael Schumacher and Eddie Irvine.
