Description
BBR Ferrari 550 Barchetta 2000 – Avus White | 1:18
The Ferrari 550 Barchetta Pininfarina, presented in 2000, is a strictly limited special edition model that honours the tradition of great open-top sports cars from Maranello and commemorates the 70th anniversary of the collaboration between Ferrari and Pininfarina. Technically, the vehicle is based directly on the Ferrari 550 Maranello Berlinetta, introduced in 1996.
Unlike some historical Barchetta models with extremely low or absent windscreens, this variant features a conventional, full-height windscreen. The vehicle is equipped with a manual, flexible fabric roof and is characterised by two distinctive, permanently installed roll bars located directly behind the headrests. The special history of this model is attested to, not least, by prominent former owners such as Formula 1 drivers Michael Schumacher and Eddie Irvine. The miniature precisely and accurately reproduces the original with its white exterior and black interior.
