Description
BBR Ferrari 550 Barchetta 2000 – Nürburgring Silver | 1:18
The Ferrari 550 Barchetta Pininfarina, presented in 2000, is a limited special edition designed as a tribute to the long-standing tradition of open-top Ferrari sports cars. At the same time, the vehicle celebrates the 70-year collaboration between Ferrari and the design house Pininfarina. The technical and design basis is derived directly from the 1996-introduced Berlinetta Ferrari 550 Maranello.
Unlike historical barchetta models, which often featured very low or entirely absent wind deflectors, this vehicle is equipped with a conventional full-height windscreen and a lightweight manual fabric roof. Striking construction elements include the two prominent, permanently installed roll hoops behind the headrests of the seats. The model's exclusive history is underscored by its famous clientele: among others, Formula 1 racing drivers Michael Schumacher and Eddie Irvine were owners of this special edition.
Model-making art at the highest level: This exclusive collector's item is meticulously crafted in Italy. It features the noble Nürburgring Silver (Argento Nurburgring) paintwork, which creates an elegant contrast to the authentically reproduced burgundy interior.
