Description
BBR Ferrari 550 Barchetta 2000 – Red | 1:18
The Ferrari 550 Barchetta Pininfarina, presented in 2000, is a limited special edition. The vehicle represents a tribute to the tradition of open-top sports cars from Maranello, while simultaneously celebrating 70 years of collaboration between Ferrari and Pininfarina. The Ferrari 550 Maranello, introduced in 1996, served as the technical basis.
Unlike historic Barchetta models with particularly low or absent windscreens, this variant features a conventional windscreen of regular height and a manual fabric roof. A distinctive design feature is the two fixed roll-hoops, located directly behind the headrests.
The vehicle historical significance of this series is also underlined by its prominent first owners, including Formula 1 drivers Michael Schumacher and Eddie Irvine. The interior design is in elegant black.
