Description
BBR Ferrari 599 GTO 2010 – Ingrid Grey with Blue Stripe | 1:18
The Ferrari 599 GTO (Gran Turismo Omologata) is a defining model in recent Ferrari history and was presented in 2010 as a road-legal version of the uncompromising 599XX track car. Worldwide production of this model series was strictly limited to 599 units.
Compared to the regular 599 GTB, the development focused consistently on maximum weight reduction. This was achieved through the use of thinner glass and special lightweight components made of aluminium and carbon fibre for the body. In the interior, high-quality materials such as Alcantara, technical 3D fabric, and purist carbon fibre racing seats underscore the car's motorsport character.
A distinctive aerodynamic innovation of the GTO is the one derived from Formula 1 Doughnut Wheels. These special fairings on the outside of the brakes specifically reduce air resistance and efficiently dissipate hot exhaust air. Numerous deliveries of the 599 GTO featured a distinctive matte black roof and matte accents, which visually differentiated them significantly from the conventional GTB Fiorano.
