The 2010 Ferrari 599 GTO (Gran Turismo Omologata) is the road-legal variant of the 599XX, which was originally designed purely for track use. Production of this high-performance sports car was strictly limited to exactly 599 units worldwide.

Compared to the standard 599 GTB, the technical focus was on consistent weight reduction. This was achieved through the use of thinner glass and the extensive use of aluminium and carbon fibre for the body. The interior underscores the purist character with carbon racing seats, Alcantara upholstery and innovative 3D fabric.

A striking aerodynamic innovation is represented by the so-called "wheel doughnuts" derived from Formula 1. These special cover discs on the outside of the brakes reduce air resistance and efficiently dissipate heat from the brakes. Many deliveries of the 599 GTO were characterised by a matt black roof and matt trim elements, which visually set the vehicle apart from the more classic GTB Fiorano version.
