The Spider variant of the Ferrari 849 Testarossa presents itself as an open version of the sports car, equipped with a retractable hardtop (RHT) that can be opened and closed in 14 seconds. A specific wind deflector system divides the incoming airflow and channels it specifically to two lower air intakes in the area of the seat base.

Introduced in 2025, the Ferrari 849 Testarossa is a direct homage to the historic nomenclature first introduced in 1956 with the 500 TR, referencing its red-painted cylinder heads. The design blends sharp lines inspired by 1970s sports prototypes. A bridging element connects the headlights, shaping the front end – a stylistic feature already seen on models such as the 12Cilindri and the F80. The shape of the doors acts as an integrated aerodynamic channel for engine cooling. At the rear, two twin rear fins, reminiscent of the 70s 512 S, define a patented aerodynamic system. As the technical successor to the SF90 Stradale, this plug-in hybrid vehicle features a V8 twin-turbo engine supported by three electric motors.
