BBR Ferrari Dino 246 GTS 1972 – Dino Red – Black | 1:18

Following the debut of the coupé body variant in 1969, the need arose to expand the portfolio with an open-top spider version. The new vehicle was presented to the public at the 1972 Geneva Motor Show. Commercial success is reflected in the historical production figures: out of a total of around 4,000 units manufactured in the series, approximately 1,200 were built as spiders.

Compared to its predecessor, the 206 GT, the 246 series featured significant technical modifications. In terms of the drivetrain, the engine block was no longer made of aluminium but entirely of cast iron. The striking features of the GTS variant include the removable roof panel and the Daytona-style seats, whose intricate structure is characterised by numerous narrow leather strips.
